Good lights, but lacking the minor details

Good lights, but lacking the minor details
These are very nice lights, well made and output is good. They came with mounting hardware and bulbs although one of my bulbs did not work. There were also no instructions, which made it difficult for me to figure out how the mounting hardware worked. I finally figured it out though. I also fabricated my own mounting plate then later found out you can buy these from hella, saving a huge headache for someone who isn't setup to fabricate metal plate. There were also no plugs/connectors for the headlight or shudder, and trying to find the correct connectors was difficult. If I remember correctly I had to modify a cheapo connector that I bought to make it fit the shudder. Overall I'm happy I bought these but a few negatives are no instructions and no list of "accessory" parts that go with the lights (such as mounting plates, plugs, etc). I think for the money spent, these lights should come with these items. I've attached some pictures for others to show how the hardware goes together. From the front of the light, you use a torx head to turn the mounting hardware and it adjusts the light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2010
Good solid product from Hella. Still working on the mounts and wiring to get this in place on my motorcycle but I have no doubts that these will be far better than my stock lights. Don't forget to order H9 connectors for the lamps, and good luck finding the connectors for the shutters. I ended up cutting the shutter connectors off and using Deutsch 2 pin DTM connectors (smaller than the DT series but same construction style).

One thing that makes these great is there are sealed, so you don't need plastic in front or around them to make them weather proof. The other thing is that they have approval for the USA (SAE/DOT) and if you choose the correct model number Europe (ECE) so you can legally put them on your vehicles. The USA specification are the lights I bought (that's the model number listed for this review).

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Polaris Slingshot Headlight Replacement Bulb
Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2015
I purchased this for my Polaris Slingshot and it was perfect. Much more affordable than ordering it through Polaris. It comes with the bulb as well so don't worry about that. If you're purchasing this for a Slingshot, you'll have an extra bolt that you won't need.
